2023 PCE Soybean Discount Schedule

Spot Policy: Spot bushels will be priced at the next business day’s close unless notified otherwise.

SOYBEAN SCALE FALL 2023 DISCOUNTS

Moisture: Storage – 1.0% of contract price per ½ point 13.1% and above
Cash – 1.0% of contract price per ½ point 13.1% and above.

Test Weight: 1 cent per pound or fraction under 54# to 50#.
2 cents per pound under 50#.
Foreign F.M. in excess of 1.0% shall be deducted from gross weight.

MATERIAL

Splits: 1 cent per bushel each 5% or fraction above 20%.

Damage: 3 cents each 1% or fraction above 2%.

Heat Damage: .2%-.5% = $.04/bu
.6% – above = $.06 each ½ point accumulative

Musty: 15 cents per bushel

Sour: 20 cents per bushel

Infested: 15 cents per bushel

Storage Charges: A minimum charge of 25 cents through December 31,2023. Then 5 cents per month thereafter. Any grain not priced by August 31, 2024, will be assessed new minimum charge at that time.
Out Charge: 20 cents per bushel

Price later charge will be at the current market rate.

Moisture: 1.4% per point shrink down to 15%
Drying Charge will be 2 cents per ½ point above 15%
Storage Charge will be shrunk and dried to 14%

Test Weight: 1 cent per pound or fraction under 54# to 52#.
2 cents per pound under 52# to 50#.
3 cents per pound under 50# to 48#.
4 cents per pound below 48#.
Foreign 2 cents each 1% or fraction above 3% to 4%.

Material: 3 cents each 1% above 4% to 7%.
4 cents each 1% above 7%.

Damage: 2 cents each 1% or fraction above 5% to 7%.
3 cents each 1% above 7% to 10%.
4 cents each 1% above 10%.

Heat Damage: 2 cents each tenth percent from .3 to .5
4 cents each tenth percent from .6 to 1.0

Musty: 10 cents per bushel.

Sour: 10 cents per bushel.

Infested: 10 cents per bushel.

Grain Bank Policy: Bushels will have no storage or drop charges until September 30, 2024. Grain remaining Oct 1, 2024, will be charged the drop charge and storage fees from unload date. Grain Bank bushels are shrunk down to 14% moisture.

CASH

Price bushels for delivery in the nearby/spot month. Producers can market their grain up to two years in advance.

CASH FORWARD

Price bushels for delivery in a deferred month. Producers can market their grain up to two years in advance.

HEDGE TO ARRIVE (HTA)

Producer establishes the futures price at the time of sale and establish the basis at or before delivery. Producers can market their grain up to two years.

BASIS CONTRACT

Producer establishes the basis at the time of sale and then establish the futures price before delivery. PCE advances 70% of the market value upon completion of the delivery.

AVERAGE PRICING PROGRAM

A ten week program for corn and soybeans where grain is priced in increments of 5,000 on the same day and same time every week. This program works for both new and old crop.

ALLIANCE COMMODITIES

Alliance Commodities is a modern facility built in 2007. This dry corn only facility has a storage capacity of 2.75 million bushels and provides fast dumping times to the producer with two scales and two fast grain receiving pits.

PEARL CITY ELEVATOR

The Pearl City location has a storage capacity of 1.85 million bushels. Pearl City handles both corn and soybeans. This location offers both storage and drying.

BAILEYVILLE COOP

Baileyville Co-op has been serving the German Valley, Forreston, and Freeport area since 1997. At Baileyville the grain capacity is 1 million bushels. This location offers both drying and storage for corn and soybeans.

ADKINS ENERGY

PCE is majority owner of Adkins Energy, a modern ethanol plant which processes approximately 21 million bushels of local corn annually in Lena. For sales of corn delivered to Adkins please contact the PCE Grain Division.
